On Wednesday, March 6th, IFE was honored to host a Media & Technology Roundtable with special guest Sam Feist, CNN’s Washington Bureau Chief and Senior Vice President. The dinner was held at the residence of IFE Diplomatic Steward, H.E. Dirk Wouters, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the United States. The guests were captivated by the insights provided by the Emmy Award winning journalist during his off-the-record conversation covering a range in topics, from the way technology is changing news consumption in the digital era, to all the measures taken to earn the audience’s trust.
During the evening Sam Feist shared his favorite quote with the guests: “To be persuasive we must be believable; to be believable we must be credible; to be credible we must be truthful.”~Edward R. Murrow – on the day of JFK’s inaugural address: Jan 20, 1960.
The guests were served smoked salmon with radish salad as an appetizer, organic chicken with sautéed spinach as main course, and white chocolate mousse with fruits as dessert, complemented with Bordeaux wine and champagne.
