Institute for Education (IFE) founders Coach Kathy Kemper and Jim Valentine welcomed neighbors and friends of IFE to their home for their Fifth Annual Champagne Holiday Kick-Off on Thanksgiving Day 2018. The Holiday Toast has become a Washington tradition for the IFE and Kemper Valentine team, kicking off the holiday season with gratitude and hope.
Diplomats from around the world were in attendance, including Ambassador O’Sullivan and Ms. O’Hare of the European Union, Ambassador and Ms. Sugiyama of Japan, Ambassador and Ms. Tekleberhan of Ethiopia, Ambassador and Ms. Haarde of Iceland, Ambassador Kauppi of Finland, Ambassador and Ms. Mulhall of Ireland, and Ambassador and Ms. Vital of Portugal. Diplomats from Kazakhstan, Estonia, and Libya joined the celebration.
In classic IFE fashion, members of the media, thought leaders, technologists, sports players, politicians, and IFE interns and fellows mingled together in a warm and welcoming environment. Children played corn hole, ping pong, basketball, and with indoor drones. Attendees toasted with Veuve Clicquot before heading off for afternoon celebrations with family.
